Our Team

The Policy Centre is run by a small core of coordinating staff with well established access to several women’s enterprise related networks across the UK and internationally.

We are building a range of 'on-call' business relationships with an expanded and diverse pool of researchers, topic experts and consultants.

This operational model enables us to commission specialised research from leaders in the field which feeds directly into our provision of practical and value-added input towards the development of enterprise policy  nationally and regionally.

Staff roles and responsibilities:

Steve Michell, Acting Director
During his career Steve worked for a number of Government Departments. From 2002 to the end of 2005, Steve led the former DTI's policy on women's and ethnic minority enterprise. From 2006 to mid-2008, he focused on project management and renewable energy at BERR, before returning to the women's enterprise sector as Deputy Director of the National Policy Centre in July 2008. He is currently Acting Director of the Policy Centre.
