Understanding Retirement Law

Check You Are Legal

If you are planning to drive in different countries around the world, whether it is just for a holiday or whether you are planning to move there full time, make sure that you stay within the law when it comes to driving and car insurance. The Canadian car insurance law is probably very different to the insurance law in Australia, for example.

Contrary to what many people may think, this was not a whole host of new legal provisions; instead, it was a mere consolidation of laws the UK had actually ratified many decades earlier.

However, it is probably fair to say that prior to this Act of Parliament, human rights were rather placed on the back-burner in comparison with today. Our common law system did not respect human rights issues as widely as they should have. (more...)

Understanding Retirement Law

Retirement is an exciting time and most people look forward to the days when they can relax and spend time travelling or being with friends and family at their leisure. It is a time to be rewarded for all the hard work that has been put in for the previous years.
